Concept

Cowleidoscope was one of the sculptures featured in the 2021 New York CowParade, a public art exhibition benefiting God's Love We Deliver. Displayed at Industry City in Brooklyn from August through September 2021, the project progressed through concept development, design, and fabrication, resulting in a vibrant public installation that supported a charitable cause.

Concept Development

As part of a team we developed the creative concept for Cowleidoscope, exploring visual themes and storytelling to create a distinctive public art installation for the 2021 New York CowParade.

Design and Fabrication

Supported the fabrication and finishing process to ensure the final installation accurately reflected the intended design.

Public Art

Designed the sculptural artwork by translating the concept into a cohesive visual composition that balanced creativity, craftsmanship, and the unique form of the CowParade sculpture.

From Concept to Installation

01. Concept Development

Generated initial sketches and explored multiple design directions, refining the visual concept and defining the message that Cowleidoscope would communicate through the CowParade exhibition.

02. Material Exploration

Experimented with kaleidoscopes, vinyl graphics, and fabrication techniques to evaluate how different materials and interactive elements could enhance the final sculpture.

03. Design Development

Finalized the sculpture's design by developing the wing geometry, graphic artwork, and construction details while sourcing materials to support fabrication.

04. Fabrication

Planned and managed the production process from start to finish, including modifying the cow sculpture, fabricating the internal wing structure, installing the wings, painting the sculpture, applying custom vinyl graphics, and integrating the kaleidoscopes.

05. Installation & Launch

Completed the installation by applying the final vinyl graphics to the display platform and preparing the sculpture for its public unveiling at the 2021 New York CowParade.
